Dear Earl,

Now you've graduated on up!  May you find more joy in doing your Father's work on the other side of the veil!  It's a wonderful law of eternal progression!  Thank you for sharing your life with us at YHS!

  Love,

  Bonnie Grieff

It has taken me a while to get to a point of reflecting my thoughts on the loss of Maureen, Dennis, and Earl, all of whom I knew quit well.

Like Maureen and Dennis, I had known Earl for as long as I can remember.  Earl was competitor and tough, as you had to be on Bert Waterman's wrestling teams.  I had not seen him for quite a long time, but he continued to cross my mind, especially when I cam back to Ypsi and played "catch-up" with all of our old friends and classmates.  We all have to take our hats off to those who persevere to be a part of something special and endure without getting the praise many others receive.  Such was the case with Earl and wrestling, but those who were his teammates knew what a positive influence he was and respected the contributions he made to make all of them better.  I tip my hat to Earl for being someone special.

Earl was a very nice man.  I remember my husband and me sitting with him at our 30th class reunion and catching up with his life.  He is truly missed.
