NATHAN WARREN OBITUARY

Warren, Nathan Wayne 1/24/1944 - 11/30/2022

Nathan Wayne Warren Also known affectionately as Pony or Wayne-0. Passed away on November 30 following a brief illness with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents Nathan and Margaret Warren, his sister, Glenda, brother-in-law, Jerry, and his nephew, Steve. He is survived by his wife, Deirdre, his daughter, Susan Hooper, brother-in-law, Ken (Kate),nephew, Mike Keene (Sally), Candy Keene and Jerry Kingsley, grand nieces and nephews Nathan, Alicia, Samantha and Lisa and1 great, grand nephew, Mason. Wayne retired from Ford Mtr. Co. after 30 years of service. he went on to work at Hickory Woods Golf Course where he got to play golf every day. Golf was his passion and he played every chance he got, making lasting friendships along the way. His wife's book club inspired him to start a Bourbon ClubPony's Cronies, leading to much story telling and laughter. Wayne was an avid sports fan and for 10 years he coached Little League baseball leaving a legacy of choosing the first girl to play on a Little League team. In his younger days, he loved riding motorcycles and those friendships endure as well. In recent years he began fostering cats and kittens. He just loved those kittens. Wayne was a kind, generous and loyal soul. His loss will be deeply felt by many. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations can be made to the Ypsilanti American Little League or the Huron Valley Humane Society. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti on Tuesday, December 6, from 2-5 p.m.
